Graphic designer and artist Shannon Kennedy has taken her endearing and modern designs from computer to press in her Long Beach studio where they have since been sighted in TV commercials and even episodes of Glee. Influenced by mid-century and Scandinavian design, hints of both can be seen in her work which features simple fonts, geometric shapes, and patterns with a hand drawn feel plus a soft, bright, yet contrasting color palette that both lifts your soul and leaves an impression. And isn’t that exactly what you want when you send a friend or loved one a message? Kennedy, and more specifically her studio Sass & Peril, offers a well-designed handmade card for most occasions. In case you wanted to keep the warm and fuzzy feelings all to yourself she also has a series of prints and notebooks with a collection of cute animal characters for your home.
Each one of theses beautiful pieces is screen printed by hand in Long Beach. The paper used in every print and envelop comes from Michigan based and family-owned French Paper Company. They provide top quality FSC certified and recycled stock from their mill which is completely hydro-powered. The inks used are water-based and non-toxic. Feeling even better? Yep….
