Butcher Blocks by David Rasmussen

I think I now have a hankerin’ for some butcher blocks and its too bad there isn’t room for two. Known for some other planar serving services that have a Tron like twist, David Rasmussen has built this workhorse to last and be the centerpiece to the countertop. It is made from black walnut and sanded fine to a soft touch but hard enough to handle your blade chops.

Seriously…again with the lost keys? If you are struggling with that then maybe an attractive multifunctional wall mounted organizer from Colorado based shop Board will keep you in check. The Blokkey is a solid piece wood in your choice of American Walnut, ash, or bettle kill pine that mounts easily and features an elastic band and some powerful magnets that will keep keys, envelopes, and most anything you are afraid of walking away. The Elephant, with it’s animal like shape, spots the same features but with more space. Both designs come wrapped with a big bow of color around the edge to get things poppin’ off.

Acoustic Amplifiers from Koostik

Designer Jim Simon has built the Koostik series based on the same principles of a hollow bodied instrument allowing sound to be amplified 2 to 4 times without a single watt (other than those used by your Apple device).

Koostik_Original_WalnutEach one is handmade from domestic woods in Colorado. There are 3 models. The original (pictured above), the miniKoo, and iPad version. Each is available in a number of different finishes and combinations such as walnut, maple, or cherry. They are finished by hand with an application of an earth-friendly combination of orange oil and beeswax.
